She Bares a Breast by Corey Mesler

She bares a breast
and I am feathered.
Here in the mines
with nowhere to go
but erect. I walk on
two legs most days.
She bares a breast
and I am a rough beast
slouching toward the
inner cella, where
only the most desperate
go, the stark dark
chambers of the heard,
the herd, the unhearted.
I am, in straw reborn, a
straw man, wanting and alive.

  1. I like all the literary references. Most of all I like the “straw man” still be alive to the beautiful breast of the female. Show male infatuation with the female form. All of us are a result to this wonderful tango!
