Lost In Translation by Allie Marini Batts

It will never matter what the words were

that washed away in a feedback tsunami of Just Like Honey

all that matters is that you whispered at all.

  1. I absolutely adore that movie. A friend of mine once tried to tell me what Bob whispers to Charlotte at the end (he’d read it somewhere, that they’d enhanced the sound to make it out), but I cut him off and tried to explain to him that part of the beauty was not knowing. His words weren’t meant for me, they were for her.

This is a fabulous example of the power in brevity. Wonderfully done.

  2. Thank you all for your kind words. DFPaul, I had a similar experience–and agree entirely. The whisper matters, not what was said.
