Laramie, New Year’s Eve – Ray Sharp

Walking east on Custer
from 1st to 15th
carrying two jars of honey,
thinking about heroes
and honey bees,
villains and last stands
and ghosts, the bitter
wind at my back,
the slippery path ahead.
