Heather Minette is from Texas. She recently graduated from the University of Houston – Clear Lake with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and will study for a Master of Arts in Literature in the spring. Her poems and stories have been published in numerous magazines and ezines, including Backhand Stories, Up the Staircase, Frost Writing, and Bayousphere. She is currently working on a themed short story collection based on immigrant women living in the United States, uncovering the trauma they have faced because of their immigrant status but also championing their endurance and triumph.
