Love is a song that infiltrates silence with the sound of laughter Love is the softness of a dog’s coat under a grieving hand. Love is an elderly couple holding hands on a park bench. Love is the scent of violets in an empty room. Love is a risk that you take to fully live.
Both delightful and disturbing Maureen. With so many love poems concentrating on either euphoria or heartbreak, your astute observations on the reality of love is refreshing. My congratulations on such a touching, concise and expressive piece.
